Compared to 1080p, 4K captures a great deal more information and detail. The storage capacities of the videos readily reveals this information. Storage needs for six 4K cameras will be significantly more than those for six 1080p cameras. Plus, there’s more visible area in the frame with that level of detail. With 4K resolution, you can zoom in even farther without the image becoming unreadable. In order to record letters or other minute details, 4K is the best option. A 4K camera will cost more per unit than a 1080p one. Higher-powered hardware is to blame for the price disparity. 1080p will do if you’re on a tight budget, but if you have the extra cash, think about getting 4K cameras.
